Delores Ann (Wilbur) Calvert, 84, of Worthington, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 19, 2020 at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones.  Delores was born on October 11, 1935 to Richard and Lucy (Dyer) Wilbur.

Delores was an only child and enjoyed spending her childhood on the farm, West of Worthington.  She married Leonard Calvert, Jr. in August 1952.  They had one son, Leonard Dwayne Calvert on February 21, 1953.  Delores retired from R.C.A. in plant 2 of Bloomington after 25 years of service.  She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Greene County General Hospital up until her health prevented her from doing so.  She volunteered in the Worthington Community, was a member of the Lyons Club, and attended Worthington First Baptist Church. 

Delores is survived by her husband, one son, Leonard Dwayne Calvert of Linton, grandson, Brandon and wife Stacy Calvert of Jasonville, two granddaughters, whom she adored, Bralyn Calvert, Kaylee Calvert, and many friends and family.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, January 24, 2020 at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home, 23 South Jefferson Street, Worthington. Pastor Matt Baker will officiate.  Burial will follow in Worthington Cemetery. 

Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 23, 2020 and again 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday, all at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Worthington Jefferson Alumni Association through the funeral home.
