Bob E. Trump
/Bob E. Trump, age 86, of Linton, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. He was born in Hymera on January 26, 1933, the son of Benjamin & Mary Trump.
Bob was a 1951 graduate of Hymera High School. He served in the United States Army for two years. He retired from Pfizer Pharmaceutical Company of Terre Haute in July 1992. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post #22 of Linton.
During his younger years, Bob enjoyed trapping and fishing. He always enjoyed mushroom hunting through the years. He always enjoyed sports since his youth, spending some time playing baseball in leagues into his 20's. Bob loved Indiana University basketball, and enjoyed watching baseball at all levels, and loved attending the Linton Miner Football games. Bob and his wife Peggy enjoyed traveling, making many trips to Las Vegas. Bob spent a lot of his retirement time visiting with friends at the local coffee shops and convenience stores.
He is survived by a son, Steve (Kathy) Trump of Linton, a grandson, Mikeal (Emily) Trump of Nashville, TN, a granddaughter, Stephenie Trump of Linton, two great-grandson, Henry and James Trump, and sister, Norma Killen of Hymera, a brother-in-law, Kenneth D. "Bud" Klein, a sister-in-law, Alberta (Wendon) Samms, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by her parents, his wife, Peggy (Klein) Trump, and brothers, Bennie, Jr. and Jack Trump.
Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Burial will follow at K of P Cemetery in Hymera with military honors by the American Legion Post #22.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
