Billie Buckallew, age 89, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 1:12 pm on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Linton on July 30, 1929, the son of John Stevenson & Sarah (Sally) Stevenson.

He married his loving wife, Clara (Yoder) Buckallew on October 24, 1968 and she passed away in 2004. He loved spending time with his granddaughter, riding his tractor, fishing and his trip to Florida and his trip to Missouri with his family. He was a member of the 12th Street Church of God. He was proud of being raised in Vicksburg and loved telling stories of where he grew up.

Billie is survived by his loving children, Shelia (Darrel) Schilling of Perryville, MO and Billy (Michelle) Buckallew; grandchildren, Nathan (Crystal) Hudson, Darrel Schilling, Jr., Kaylee Buckallew, Aaron Arney; great grandchildren, Logan and Landon Hudson.

He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents and brother, Keith Stevenson; uncles, Arnin (Dorothy) Brinson and Russell (Thelma) Clark.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Friday, June 28, 2019, with Pastor Chris Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service.

Billie's pall bearers will be Darrel Schilling, Darrel Schilling, Jr., Nathan Hudson, Aaron Arney, Dillon VanArsdale, Doug Orndorff and the honorary pall bearers to be Johnray Perez and John Stewart

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the 12th Street Church of God.
