Betty Trinkle

Betty M. Trinkle, 101, of Linton, IN, entered Heaven’s gate on Saturday, June 22, 2019. She was born on May 27, 1918, in Clay City, IN, to James R. and Mary A. (Smith) Hostetler. 

On April 16, 1938, Betty married Orlan A. Trinkle, who preceded in death October 15, 1966.

Betty was a homemaker for many years and, also, worked in the cafeteria at the school and the hospital.  She was a member of the Linton First Baptist Church and the Linton Ladies Civitan Club.  Betty enjoyed traveling, painting, and working puzzles in her leisure time.  Family members were her pride and joy.

Family left to cherish Betty’s memory includes: a daughter, Mira (Daniel) Bowersock of Linton; a daughter-in-law, Judi Trinkle of Linton; Grandchildren: Hannah Mackenzie, Kathy (Morgan) Buck, Sarah (Darren) Denham, Kristy (William) Angleton, Amy (Ricky) Templeton; Great-Grandchildren: Lennie Wheeler, Eddie Mullis, Willow & Vivian Angleton, Abby & Tanner Denham, Bria Stewart, and Parker, Trevor, & Tucker John Templeton; and 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Orlan Trinkle, one son, Johnnie Trinkle, an infant son, Larry Trinkle, and an infant grandson, Bret Joseph Trinkle.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Rev. Kenneth Adams officiating. Betty will be laid to rest in the Linton Fairview Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday.

Memorial donations may be made to Gideon Bibles in Betty’s name. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
