Betty June Stevenson
/Betty June Stevenson, 94, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 10:08 A.M. Sunday, June 12, 2022 in The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 29, 1928 in Gilmore, IN to Ralph McBride Sr. and Hattie (Williams) McBride.
Betty married Richard H. “Dick” Stevenson on September 4, 1948, he passed away on June 13, 2019.
Survivors include her children, Sharon Morse (Fred) of Jasonville, IN, Kathy Edmondson (Tom) of Jasonville, IN, Cindy McNabb (Bo) of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Nicole Morse-Griffith (Eric), Matthew Sims (Heather), Megan Sims-Willis (Patrick), Shellie Edmondson-Robbins, Amber Edmondson-Bowling (Nic), Steven McNabb (Amanda), Scott McNabb (Mary), Sean McNabb, Donnie McNabb (Monica), Vanessa McNabb-Bush (Brandon), Samantha McNabb-McCoskey (JD); great-grandchildren, Beckett Griffith, Baylor Griffith, Breckynn Griffith, Brant Mize, Mia Robbins, Finn Willis, Townsend Willis, Hattie Willis, Reghan McNabb, Ella Bush, Hannah Bush, Jevan McCoskey, Jude McCoskey, Jillian McCoskey, Emma McNabb; brother, Ray McBride of Jasonville; sister in-law, Rita Cahall of South Bend, IN; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, William McBride, James McBride, Inez Funk, Ralph McBride Jr., Bonnie McBride, Eunice McBride, Helen Ruth Whitlock, grandson, Craig Morse.
Betty graduated from Jasonville High School Class of 1945. She worked at Formfit, TRW, Charles Industries, and Underwood Electric. Betty was a member of Lawton Street Christian Church, member of Jasonville Chapter O.E.S and a 57 year member of Jasonville American Legion Auxiliary Post #172. She enjoyed playing Bingo with friends. She attended all the grandchildren’s sporting events, she loved watching Westerns on television and traveling. Betty enjoyed spoiling and entertaining the grandkids and great-grandkids.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M to 2 P.M. Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 2 P.M with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.
Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
