New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026:

Jan. 5, 12:58 p.m., Sean Edward Travis Ward, 36, Terre Haute, was arrested on a warrant for direct contempt of court. His bond was set at $500 cash only. 

Jan. 5, 2:01 p.m., Michael Scott Edmonson, 56, Linton, was arrested on a warrant for dealing methamphetamine. No bond was allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
