New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, July 2, 2021:

July 1, 12:24 p.m. – Arica Layne McAdams, 34, Terre Haute, Ind., was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for a conviction of felony possession of methamphetamine and theft. She was being held without bond.

July 1, 8:27 p.m. – Jess Alan Barrix, 25, Linton, Ind., was arrested on a new preliminary charge of misdemeanor failure to aid an officer. His bond was set at $500 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He posted $50 and was released later the same day. Linton Police Officer Alan Jackson was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
