A Worthington woman was arrested last Friday night after a WPD officer was dispatched twice to a domestic situation involving several individuals and a disagreement over who could stay at the house and who could not.

Rheannon Marie Stalcup, 33, Worthington, was booked in to the Greene County Jail at 11:11 p.m. on Friday, November 9, by Deputy Marshal Russell Walls of the Worthington Police Department.

When Stalcup was taken into custody, it was the second trip Officer Walls had made that night to a residence on Third Street in Worthington.

Walls was first dispatched at 6:40 p.m. for an unknown domestic situation involving several individuals.

While he was there, he talked to at least five people, including two women and three men, and was told there was a verbal disagreement over who could stay at the house.

According to Walls, Stalcup told him the other woman had been staying there about a month and had invited one of the men in as a guest, but she did not want them to stay.

Walls reported he told her he couldn’t make the woman leave because she’d been living there and the man was her guest and Stalcup told him another man would be staying in what had been the woman’s room, and that law enforcement was not needed.

Officer Walls left but at 9:13 p.m., he was dispatched to the same house and advised a battery had occurred between the two women.

Walls said he was told that while Stalcup was talking on a phone, the other woman had knocked the phone out of her hand and Stalcup then punched the woman in the face. Two men then separated the two women.

Walls said he didn’t observe any sign of injuries to Stalcup but the other woman had a cut across her nose and she was bleeding from the bridge of her nose and from her nostrils.

Walls reported all present said there was a two-year-old child present in the room when all of this occurred, and due to the child being present, DCS (Department of Child Services) was notified of the incident.

Stalcup appeared for her initial hearing in Greene Superior Court on Thursday morning. She has been charged with battery resulting in bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct – engaging in fighting or tumultuous conduct, a Class B misdemeanor. She has since posted bond and been released from jail.
