Woman accused of stealing fake nails arrested Friday
/A warrant for the arrest of a woman accused of stealing fake press-on nails from a pharmacy in Bloomfield was issued in July. Last Friday, she was taken into custody and booked in to the Greene County Jail.
Goldie Louise Kieninger, 36, Linton, was wanted on a preliminary charge of theft, a Class A misdemeanor.
Kieninger allegedly stole a package of KISS 100 press-on nails from the Bloomfield CVS Pharmacy on Wednesday, July 18.
Bloomfield Town Marshal Kenneth Tharp responded to the store after the manager called 911 to report the theft.
Tharp arrived on the scene before the suspect made it out of the parking lot.
The manager told Tharp that after Kieninger picked up a prescription in the pharmacy area, he watched her walk to the cosmetic area, pick up the package of false nails then walk to a different aisle where she put the item into the CVS bag from the pharmacy. He called police immediately.
According to Tharp, Kieninger apologized and asked to pay for the nails. He told her it was too late and that information for a criminal charge would be given to the county prosecutor with a request for a warrant for her arrest.
The county prosecutor’s office did file a criminal case against Kieninger and the warrant was issued on July 24.
Kieninger was arrested by BPD Deputy Marshal Jordan Allor late Friday. Her bond was set at $1,000 surety with ten percent allowed. She was released on Saturday after posting $100 cash. She is scheduled to appear in Greene Superior Court on Thursday for an initial hearing.
