State Road 59 open following building collapse

State Road 59 in Linton has reopened following closure due to the collapse of a building that stood for decades. 

In the evening hours of July 7, the former Murphy’s Building, located at the intersection of Main and Vincennes Streets, collapsed. While no injuries were reported, property damage was evident, including damage to vehicles parked along Main Street.

The incident resulted in the closure of roads and businesses while crews worked to clean up the scene and demo the building.
