Bradley Keith Sciscoe, 38, of Solsberry, is scheduled to appear in court next Monday, October 22, on preliminary charges of carrying a handgun without a license – a Class A misdemeanor, possession of marijuana – a Class B misdemeanor, and operating a vehicle with a Schedule I or II controlled substance in the body – a Class C misdemeanor.

When Indiana State Police Trooper Caleb Garvin stopped a white Dodge pickup truck for going 55 mph in a 50 mph zone on Friday afternoon, October 5, he pulled the truck over on State Road 45 at Johnson Lane. Sciscoe was the driver and the only occupant of the truck.

Trooper Garvin reported the odor of marijuana was coming from within the truck and when Sciscoe was asked to get out, Garvin saw a handgun in the driver’s door, a Heritage Rough Rider .22 caliber revolver with six rounds in the cylinder. A clear plastic bag with green plant material was found in the center console.

A records check showed Sciscoe’s license was suspended and he didn’t have a valid handgun permit. Sciscoe allegedly said the handgun belonged to his mother.

Sciscoe was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for a blood draw then transported to the Greene County Jail where his bond was set at $2,000 surety with ten percent cash allowed. He was then released the same day after posting $200 cash.
