Sisters in a fight being called in to court, for disorderly conduct

Sisters accused of fighting with each other are both facing a charge of disorderly conduct. They’ve both been summoned to appear in court in September, on the same day, at the same time.

Timmie L. Pearson, 20, of Bloomfield, and Branddee M. Pearson, 42, of Linton, were involved in an altercation at the home of their parents in rural Bloomfield in late July.

Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Davis Aerne was dispatched to the home after Timmie Pearson called the sheriff’s office to report her sister had just beat her up.

When Deputy Aerne arrived, he spoke to both women and their father.

Aerne reported Branddee said she went to the home to get cupcakes after her sister’s bridal shower, an argument started, and Timmie hit her in the face. Aerne said she had a small red abrasion on her neck but he could not see any sign of injury on her face. He also reported Branddee admitted to hitting her sister.

Aerne reported Timmie said her sister stood in the kitchen and was mouthing something at her so she mouthed back then she was hit by Branddee five times in the face. She said her eyes hurt but Aerne said he did not see any sign of injury on her face. He also reported she said Branddee had pulled her off the couch and had pulled her hair while they were fighting.

Aerne reported he talked to the father who was inside the home when the incident occurred and he said they were both hitting each other in a family quarrel.

The women were not taken into custody, but the deputy submitted information about the incident to the prosecutor’s office and in early August, Deputy Prosecutor Cheryl Stone filed a case against both sisters.

A criminal summons has been sent to both ordering them to appear for initial hearings in Greene Superior Court on charges of disorderly conduct – engaging in fighting or tumultuous conduct, a Class B misdemeanor. Both hearings are scheduled for Thursday, September 13, at 8:30 a.m.
