Update = In custody: Two warrants issued Thursday morning for the arrest of Linton woman

Update: Walls was taken into custody on Thursday, November 29 and was being held without bond.

Two warrants were issued early Thursday morning for the arrest of a Linton woman who had bonded out of jail last week.

Angel Ray Dawn Walls, 33, Linton, is wanted on one warrant for failure to appear in court as required. She was arrested last week, bonded out of jail and was due in court for her initial hearing early Thursday on charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct. She was a no-show.

The second warrant was issued in a previous case involving auto theft. Also early Thursday, a petition to revoke her bond in that case was filed and approved, resulting in two warrants.

Angel Ray Dawn Walls, 33, of Linton, was arrested by Linton Police Officer Orry Phipps last week on preliminary charges of criminal trespassing, a Class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct involving unreasonable noise, a Class B misdemeanor.

Her bond was set at $1,500 surety with ten percent cash allowed. She has since been released from jail after posting $150 cash and will be scheduled into court for an initial hearing.

Officer Phipps was dispatched at 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20 to a residence on Linda Lane in Linton after the homeowners called police.

When Phipps arrived, he encountered Walls who told him she was trying to wake someone up because she was scared and didn’t want to go to her own residence on SW 6th Street. She said she had knocked on the windows and doors and woke up the homeowners but they told her they didn’t know her and they wanted her to leave.

When Phipps then talked to the couple who lived at the house, they said Walls had been beating on their front door and windows and had tried to get into a truck. Walls woke everyone in the house up out of a dead sleep, they didn’t know her and they wanted her to leave. They said they told her to leave but she did not.

Officer Phipps reported that while he was talking to the residents, Walls was screaming and yelling. He told her she needed to leave but she stayed and allegedly told him he’d have to take her to jail. He also told her to keep her voice down but he said she continued to scream and yell.

Walls was taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Jail.

Walls also has another criminal case pending against her. She was arrested on June 30 and charged with auto theft, a Level 6 felony. In that case, she allegedly took a vehicle without permission then left it in a motel parking lot.
