Linton woman accused of spitting on student projects at elementary school

A 47-year-old Linton woman is accused of entering the Linton-Stockton Elementary School after hours, spitting on some student projects, ripping others off the walls.

Bobbie J. Wilson, 47, Linton, was met by law enforcement officers when she left the building.

School Resource Officer Josh Goodman of Linton-Stockton Schools reports Wilson entered the Linton-Stockton Elementary School building after hours last Monday, August 20.

Goodman said Wilson was caught on security video inside the building, spitting on wall boards where projects of both students and teachers were posted.

Goodman further alleges that Wilson was caught on video, writing on a wall poster with a marker before she went to another wall board where she ripped projects off the walls.

All of the wall boards affected had to be replaced due to damage from Wilson’s bodily fluids or damage caused by the ripping of the projects off the walls.

Wilson was not immediately arrested, but Goodman submitted information about the incident to the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office and on Wednesday, August 22, Deputy Prosecutor Cheryl Jackson Stone filed a criminal case against Wilson.

Wilson has been summoned to appear in Greene Superior Court in September for an initial hearing when she will be charged with criminal mischief, a Class B misdemeanor.
