Linton man’s bond revoked today
/A Linton man, accused of meth possession, was arrested earlier this spring but posted bond and was released from jail. Then he was accused of criminal mischief and a misdemeanor case was filed against him. Now he’s back in jail – his bond in the meth case was revoked today.
Jeremiah Edward Damron, 35, Linton, was arrested by Officer Janzen Franklin of the Linton Police Department Monday night, June 22, on a warrant that was issued for his arrest last Friday, June 19.
Earlier this month, LPD Officer Debbie McDonald responded to a residence where Damron allegedly had damaged a woman’s vehicles. The woman said Damron had moved out about three months earlier and had no property there but had come over, started arguing and refused to leave though she told him to leave and so did another family member.
Damron was accused of hitting the driver’s side mirror and broke it off on one of her cars then kicked the driver’s side tail light out on another. He allegedly left when told police were on the way.
Officer McDonald reported that she went to Damron’s residence – he wasn’t there. She left a message for him to call and attempted to make contact with Damron several times with no success.
Last week, a criminal case was filed against Damron on two counts of Class B misdemeanor criminal mischief. A criminal summons was issued ordering Damron to appear in court for an initial hearing.
But Damron has another case pending against him and after charges were filed in the newest case, a petition to revoke his bond in the pending case was filed and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
In the earlier case, Damron was arrested in March then charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony. He posted bond and had been released. Now he’s back in jail.
Earlier today, the judge ordered his bond to be revoked and he’s being held in the Greene County Jail without bond.
