Linton, Lyons to test tornado sirens Sept. 1

The Linton Police Department will conduct a quarterly test of its Outdoor Tornado Warning Siren System. This test will also include Lyons. Sirens will be activated at 1 p.m. Sept. 1.

During a severe weather emergency, the Linton Police Department would activate the Warning Sirens in the event of a TORNADO WARNING (issued by the NWS or a tornado or funnel cloud reported by a trained tornado spotter.)
