Linton Fire Department announces change to Halloween candy distribution

The Linton Fire Department will not be handing out candy tonight, Friday, Oct. 30, because crews will be attending the high school football game as required by the Indiana High School Athletic Association.

However, firefighters will be ready to welcome trick-or-treaters Saturday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 8:30 p.m., with plenty of candy and treats.

The department apologized for the change and thanked the community for its understanding.

And there's a little something extra for some trick-or-treaters — bonus candy will be available for children dressed as firefighters!

The department looks forward to seeing all the little ghosts, goblins and superheroes Saturday evening.
