Shannon Elaine Forker, 32, Jasonville, was arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17. She is currently being held without bond.

Forker had been serving a term of probation on a previous conviction of possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, when officers arrived at her door on Tuesday, October 29, to do a probation home check.

Officer Jacob Gambill of the Jasonville Police Department accompanied Greene County Probation Officer Patrick Hillenburg and Community Corrections Officer Andrew Johnson with the visit to Forker’s residence on Horace Street in Jasonville.

Officer Gambill said when they arrived, Forker appeared to be nervous about the surprise visit. She allowed the officers to go inside but allegedly said she would rather they didn’t search her room. She was reminded that the terms of her probation allowed them to search without her consent.

Officer Gambill reported they found a green plant-like material that field-tested positive as marijuana, small zip-lock baggies, a rolled dollar bill, a small spoon, a homemade smoking device with a white residue that field-tested positive as methamphetamine, and various other pipes.

Forker allegedly admitted that all those items belonged to her and she was advised she would receive paperwork regarding charges.

On Monday, December 16, a new case was filed against her and a warrant was issued for her arrest. When she appears for her initial hearing, she will be charged with:

  • Possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony,

  • Possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, and

  • Possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.

Also on the same day, a petition to revoke her suspended sentence was filed in the previous meth case.
