ISP arrests man suspected of supplying meth to Greene, Lawrence and Monroe counties

An ongoing Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement investigation resulted in the early Saturday morning arrest of a suspect accused of supplying methamphetamine in and around Greene, Lawrence and Monroe counties. The suspect allegedly had 450 grams in his possession when arrested.

Jarrod Crouch, 41, of Bloomington, was arrested and booked into the Morgan County Jail on Saturday, January 4.

His arrest marked the conclusion of a lengthy drug investigation. ISP had received information that Crouch was supplying methamphetamine in the area and they initiated an investigation in Lawrence County. That led to information that Crouch was going to be transporting a large amount of methamphetamine back to these areas for distribution.

During the early morning hours last Saturday, troopers from the Bloomington Post initiated a traffic stop on Crouch after they observed a traffic violation. Assisting on the scene, the Mitchell Police Department deployed K-9 Jack and the K-9 gave a positive alert to the odor of a controlled substance in the vehicle.

ISP reported they found 450 grams of methamphetamine during the search. According to the ISP, an average dose of methamphetamine ranges between ¼ gram and one gram, so Crouch had enough methamphetamine to distribute between 450 and 1,800 doses.

Crouch was taken into custody and transported to jail where he is currently detained.

Crouch is facing charges of dealing methamphetamine, a Level 2 felony, and possession of methamphetamine, a Level 2 felony.
