Driver facing OVWI charges after testing with a BAC of .155
/After she was stopped for driving left of center, a woman was booked into jail after she tested with a blood alcohol level of .155 last Thursday night.
Rachel A. Crowe, 58, Butlerville, was arrested by Deputy Sergeant Jordan Allor of the Greene County Sheriff's Department on Thursday, June 23.
Crowe was the driver of a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado traveling in the area of Cochran Road and Newark Road, Solsberry, around 9:11 pm on Thursday, June 23, when she was stopped by Sergeant Allor for driving left of center.
Sergeant Allor reported he detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Crowe and he saw alcoholic beverages in view in her vehicle. He also reported she exhibited numerous signs of intoxication including slurred speech, red and glassy eyes, unsteady balance and failing to shut off the engine when she staggered from her vehicle.
Crowe failed standard field sobriety tests but submitted to a chemical test. Sergeant Allor reported the results showed she had an alcohol concentration equivalent to .155 - the legal limit is .08.
Crowe was booked into the Greene County Jail at 11:32 PM with bond set at $4000 surety with 10% cash allowed. She has since posted bond and been released.
She has been charged with:
Operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor,
Operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor, and
Operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent to .15 or more, a Class A misdemeanor.
