Tabatha Eilenne Hill, 52, of rural Bloomfield, was arrested by Deputy Alan Jackson of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Sunday night, February 2.

Hill was driving an orange 2011 Jeep Wrangler on East Hollars Road, rural Bloomfield, when she allegedly hit a mailbox around 6:45 p.m. that Sunday. The mailbox belonged to an off-duty Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy who contacted dispatch and reported the incident.

According to Deputy Jackson, Hill exhibited several signs of intoxication and failed some field sobriety tests. She was transported to the sheriff’s department.

Hill submitted to a certified chemical test by Bloomfield Police Officer Jordan Allor who reported the test result showed she had a BAC of .154.

Yesterday, on Monday, February 10, Hill was in Greene Superior Court for her initial hearing and was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor, and operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent to .15 or more, a Class A misdemeanor.

During the hearing, the prosecutor said a negotiated plea is expected and a change of plea hearing was scheduled for February 18.
