Logan Reed Plano, 18, Linton, was arrested by Officer Wayman JR Blazier of the Linton Police Department on Wednesday, October 12 following the officer’s investigation into an incident that occurred on Tuesday, October 11.

On Wednesday morning, a male resident of Linton went to the Linton Police Department to report that a roommate, identified as Logan Plano, had punched him in the face saying he had stolen his marijuana.

The man explained that he had given Plano a place to stay a couple of days earlier and on Tuesday night, Plano came up to his room, said the man had stolen his “weed” and punched the man in the face. He said he did not fight back because Plano had access to a firearm and had told him he would shoot him.

The man provided a video off his cell phone of his nose that was bleeding after he was punched and showed a cloth that was covered in blood. The officer said he could also see dried blood around the man's nose and his left hand as well as a cut to the inside of his upper lip. This incident occurred at a residence on 2nd Street SW in Linton.

Officer Blazier then went to the residence along with LPD Officer Davis Aerne to speak with Plano and ask him what happened. Plano allegedly said the man had stolen some of his stuff. When asked if he had popped the man in the nose, Plano allegedly said he did. When asked if he hit the man over some drug money that was owed, Plano said that was not why but that the man had taken his money and he punched him one time with a closed fist. When asked why he did not call the police instead of handling the incident himself, Plano said he does not call police. Plano denied that he told the man he was going to shoot him.

Plano was taken into custody and transported to the sheriff's department where he was booked into the Greene County Jail at 12:47 PM with bond set at $1000 surety with 10% cash allowed. The date of his initial hearing is not yet known but a criminal case has been filed against him in Greene Superior Court on a charge of battery resulting in bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor.
