Autumn Leigh Bosell, 27, Bloomfield, was arrested by Sgt. Bobby Pierce of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department last weekend. She was booked in at 1:11 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, following a traffic stop that was initiated late Friday, January 31.

Sgt. Pierce and Deputy Marshal Jordan Allor of the Bloomfield Police Department were both on the west edge of Bloomfield on State Road 54 when a tan 2008 Hyundai Elantra passed by. Bosell was the driver, Officer Allor recognized her and said he knew she didn’t have a license. Sgt. Pierce initiated the traffic stop.

According to Sgt. Pierce, Bosell said she had permission from Monroe County to drive with specialized driving privilege. She showed her court papers that gave her permission to drove to and from doctor’s appointments and only between the hours of 6:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. She later admitted she was driving to Walmart.

With a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, the two officers searched and inside a child’s school homework paper folded up in the center console, Officer Allor found a green leafy plant-like material.

Bosell was asked if she had any illegal substance on her person and advised to hand it over to the officer before arriving at the jail. She denied being in possession of anything else.

Bosell was then transported to the Greene County Jail by GCSD Deputy Davis Aerne. Once there, during the booking process, a female jail officer reported that when Bosell changed clothes, it was discovered that she was concealing a clear plastic zip-lock bag in her bra. The bag contained a substance identified as marijuana.

All of the suspected marijuana was sent to a lab for expert identification and weight.

Bosell’s bond was set at $500 surety with ten percent cash allowed. She posted $50 and was released.

She is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday morning, February 6 on preliminary charges of:

  • Obstruction of justice, a Level 6 felony,

  • Possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, and

  • Knowingly or intentionally operating a motor vehicle without a license, a Class C misdemeanor.
