Back-to-School Health Fair set for Aug. 16
/Now that the new school year is underway, picture a lively event where families come together, smiles are everywhere, and health takes center stage for all ages. That’s the Greene County Back-to-School Health Fair.
WHEN: Saturday, August 16, 2025, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
WHERE: Greene County Community Events Center (at the 4H Fairgrounds), 4503 W State Road 54, Bloomfield, IN 47424
HOW: The no-cost event is open to all students, their families, and the community! No registration is necessary, just come and have fun—and get your health on!
Free health services include:
School-required immunizations for children,
Sports physicals for school-aged children,
Lead level testing for children ages 1 to 6, and
Blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and A1C screenings for adults
Ask the Pharmacist—medication information/review for seniors, and much more!
But it doesn’t stop there, school-aged children will leave with fresh haircuts and brand-new lunch bags and backpacks filled with school supplies—ready to conquer the academic year.
Each school-aged child who is immunized or receives a sports physical or has their CHIRP record printed will also receive a new pair of school shoes—Shoe Show $50 Pass!
Each household that visits the health fair will receive a Food as Medicine $25 family gift card redeemable at the Save-A-Lot (Linton, IN)—providing access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
The Greene County Ambulance Service will be on site for First Aid & CPR demonstrations; Bloom Fit will give lessons on short fitness routines throughout the day.
Free games and prizes, free hot dogs, free popcorn, and snow cones for all! While supplies last.
