William "Danny" Daniel Bough, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Worthington on the evening of Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the age of 73.

Born in Linton, Indiana on January 21, 1952, to James C. and Delema (Sparks) Bough, Danny grew up with a strong work ethic and a generous heart-qualities that defined his life. In 1978, he fulfilled his dream of opening Dan’s Auto Service in Worthington, where he served his community with honesty and dedication for nearly four decades. Many knew Danny not just as a skilled mechanic, but as a trusted friend who always had a kind word and a helping hand.

Outside of the garage, Danny was a man of simple pleasures and deep passions. He cherished the quiet mornings spent hunting and fishing, often sharing stories of his adventures with family and friends. A devoted Indiana University basketball fan, he never missed a game, cheering on his Hoosiers with infectious enthusiasm. Above all, Danny treasured the time spent with his loving wife Gloria, their six children, and the growing family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy.

Danny’s legacy lives on through his wife of 31 years, Gloria (Brummett) Bough; his children Nathan, Travis (Tonya), Lacey (Tracy), Trisha (Randy), Dustin (Kelly), and Christopher (Brittany); and his cherished grandchildren Sylvia, Megan, Jordan, Abigail, Brayden, Kaylee, Christian, Grady, Kaitlyn, Jayven, Zachary, Ezekiel, and Gabriella. He also delighted in the laughter of his great-grandchildren Atticus, Lucas, Jackson, and one on the way in January. He is fondly remembered by his sisters Donna Heaton, Karen Edwards, and Teresa Fulford.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dennis Bough, and two unborn grandchildren and one unborn great-grandchild, who remain forever in the hearts of his family.

A man who lived with integrity, kindness, and a generous spirit, Danny’s memory will continue to inspire those who knew him.
