Brenda Maybaugh, age 82, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 6:40 pm on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born in Linton, IN on January 28, 1943, the daughter of Clarence "Clint" & Ida Mae (Barton) Burger.

She attended Jasonville High School and was part of the class of 1961. She was an agent at a real estate agency as well as a board member on the Chamber of Commerce in Tybee Island, Georgia and then when she moved back to Linton she became a greeter at Walmart where she got to see everyone in town and she loved to visit with everyone. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasonville then attended Linton First United Methodist Church in her later years. She enjoyed reading, cooking, decorating and traveling. She loved her life in Savannah, Georgia but she especially loved spending time with her family.

Brenda is survived by her loving children, Brad Woods of Linton, Brian Woods of Linton and Lisa (David) Paul of Effingham, IL; brothers, Phillip (Vicki) Burger and Terry (Cheryl) Burger; nieces and nephews, Justin Burger, Brent Miller, Vanessa (Tucker) Evans, Carey Burger, Carla Burger and Clint (Judith) Burger; several great and great-great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a very special person, Richard Kautzman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and great-grandparents, Pete & Mildred Barton.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.
