William "Bill" D. Bredeweg
/William “Bill” D. Bredeweg, age 65, of Linton, passed away at 2:42 P.M. on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born in Linton on Nov. 27, 1956, the son of William H. & Helen L. (Rose) Bredeweg.
When he was at age 15, he suffered an injury from a motorcycle accident leaving him in a wheelchair. He never let this hold him back. He always had a positive outlook and a smile. One of his greatest joys was getting to ride his tractor. He enjoyed mowing the yard and was a talented woodworker. He spent many hours cutting and splitting wood for himself and others.
He attended the South Linton Church of God and Twelfth Street Church of God when he was able.
He is survived by two brothers, Rodney C. (Rene) Bredeweg and Brian K. (Amanda) Bredeweg, both of Linton, nieces, Rachel (Michael) Bergman, Lydia (Steven) Townsend, Liz (Janzen) Franklin, and Oakley Pilant, nephews, Ryan (Megan) Bredeweg and Westin Bredeweg, great-nieces, Raelynn and Lily Bredeweg, Brenley and Blakely Bergman, Nathaniel Townsend and Joziah Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Roy and Maude Bredeweg and Carl and Maggie Rose.
Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 28, 2022, Brothers Carl Jackson and Bo Simmons. Burial will follow at the German Memory Hill Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-8 P.M., and Monday from 9 A.M. until the time of service.
