Willa Dean (Gibson) Miller Myngheer

Willa Dean (Gibson) Miller Myngheer, 90, of Newburgh, IN formerly of Jasonville, IN, passed away at 8:18 P.M. Friday, September 30, 2022 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasonville, IN. She was born March 4, 1932 in Switz City, IN to Claude H. Gibson and Agnes (Morrison) Gibson.

Willy married Edward M. Myngheer on November 30, 1970, he passed away on May 31, 2016 .

Survivors include her children, Richard Miller (Pamela) of Newburgh, IN, Kriss Miller (Becky) of Linton, IN, Steven Miller (Pamela) of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Amanda Miller (Jeremy), Joshua Miller, Ashley Hedden (David), Lauren Cupp, Olivia Miller, Jamie Readinger (Wes); 6—great-grandchildren with one on the way; sister in-law, Rhoda (Titus) Gibson; many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Eugene Gibson; first husband, James R. Miller June 10, 1968, second husband, Edward M. Myngheer.

Willy was a member of Lawton Street Christian Church where, in her younger days she sang in the choir. In addition to enjoying time with her family and friends, Willy loved Indiana University basketball, all things blue (including) every single item of clothing she owned, and any number of collectibles. In her last years at home, she was rarely without her beloved Bichon Frise, who awaits her in heaven.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 2 P.M. with Pastor Mike Rotman officiating.

Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
