Wanda L. Johnson

Wanda L. Johnson 85, of Bloomfield, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at her residence. Born August 1, 1935 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Ernest and Dorothy (Linthicum) New.

She was a member of Mt. Zion Wesleyan church, the Indiana Volunteer Fire Fighters Auxiliary and the Rebecca’s Lodge.

Surviving relatives include: her children, Randy Johnson (Rita) of Greenfield, Dick Johnson (Wanda) of Indianapolis, Bob “O.J.” Johnson (Sharon), Janet Hargrave (Harold), June Cahill (Mike) and Jonas Johnson (Cheryl) all of Bloomfield; seventeen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Johnson on November 13, 2019, one sister, Lora New, two brothers, Marvin and Ronald New, one grandson, two great grandchildren and her parents.

Private services will be conducted at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. John Moffatt officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church or the Richland-Taylor Volunteer Fire Fighters Auxiliary.
