Beloved mother, sister, grandma, and great-grandma, Vera Lois Davis, 85, went home to be with her Lord early Easter Sunday morning April 21, 2019 as she celebrated her Saviors resurrection. Born August 24, 1933 in Marion County, she was the daughter of Wade and Mary (Burch) Jones.

She retired as a group leader at RCA. She was a member of the Cincinnati Christian Church and a board member of Carmichael Cemetery.

Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Debra (Dan) Martindale of Bloomfield; one son, Bryan (Sue) Davis of Bloomfield; two sisters, Alice Polley of Bloomfield and Maxine Groomer of Solsberry; her grandchildren, DeAngela Martindale Crutcher, Dalicia (Josh) Cunningham, David (Kelly) Burkett, Shaun (Christy) Davis, Michael Ray, Matthew (Megan) Burkett, John Davis, Jonathan (Christine) Burkett, Timothy (Tayetim) Davis and Kayla Davis; great-grandchildren, Trey Davis, Cameron Crutcher, Addilyn Crutcher, Ethan Davis, Brianna Cunningham, Parker Davis, Carter Davis, Jonah Davis, Isaiah Davis, Conner Ray, Hanna Cunningham, Kymber Clark, William Burkett and Case Davis; and her sister-in-laws, Judy (Warren) Cullison, Sharon (Steve) Hanna and Mary Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Edward Burton Davis on December 14, 2013, one son, Roger Dale Davis, four brothers, Wade Jones Jr., Robert Jones, Doc Jones and Allen Jones and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the Cincinnati Christian Church in rural Bloomfield, with Glen Stidd, Josh Cunningham and Kurtis Moffitt officiating. Interment will follow in Carmichael cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 1 hour prior to services on Thursday at the church. Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Cincinnati Christian Church Bus Fund.
