Vera June Goodson, age 88, of Linton, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. She was born in Linton, IN on June 19, 1932, the daughter of Chas Edward & Iona Florence (Eaton) Combs.

She worked as a nursing assistant at Greene County General Hospital for several years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Linton and enjoyed shopping, spending time with her family as well as with her church family.

June is survived by her daughter, Lee Anna Walker of Linton; sons, Bobby Goodson of Lyons and Dickie Wayne Goodson of Linton; step-son, Everett (Sue) Goodson of Showlow, Arizona; grandchildren, Craig, Clayton, Bethany, Lindsey, Zack, Dylan, Jenny, Amy, Mike, and Lisa; and great-grandsons, Draxyn, Kadyn, Jensen, Izak, Kaya, Ariel, Jaymie, Antonio, Joey, Graysun, Kassidy, and Amasa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Velma Newman, Violet Rich, Joel Combs, Ruby Combs, and Bonnie White, a son-in-law, Steve Walker, and a daughter-in-law, Rosalie Goodson, and great-grandson, Christopher Kohlman.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home of Linton and webcast at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 22, 2021. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lyons.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 12 noon until the time of service.

Due to State Mandate, only 25 people are allowed in the funeral home at one time, and face mask must be worn.
