Trent Jonathan Frady
/Trent Jonathan Frady, 55, of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, June 22, 2026, at IU Bloomington Hospital. He was born April 12, 1971, in Huntingburg, Indiana, to John and Lana (Cornelius) Frady.
Trent earned his Electrical Engineering degree from Purdue University before earning his Master of Business Administration and dedicated over 35 years of service as an engineer at Crane Naval Base.
Trent had a deep passion for sports that shaped much of his life and the lives of those around him. He was a devoted supporter of local athletics and could often be found in the stands or on the sidelines, cheering on his children and their teammates. His enthusiasm went beyond spectating; he invested his time and heart into coaching, most notably with the Linton Miners girls basketball program, where he mentored young athletes and built lasting relationships. Whether it was basketball, softball, or baseball, Trent’s love for the game was rooted in his joy of seeing others grow, compete, and succeed.
Nothing meant more to Trent than his family. He took immense pride in his children and cherished every moment watching them pursue their passions; Hannah playing softball at Bethel University, Caleb participating in events at Purdue University, and Nathan playing baseball at Taylor University. Their accomplishments were his greatest joy.
Trent was a member of the Fellowship of Christian athletes, where he met some of his most amazing best friends, and married the love of his life, Brandy at the campground.
Trent is survived by his loving wife, Brandy Marie Frady, whom he married on June 15, 1996; his children, Hannah Joy Gray (Mitchell), Caleb Frady, and Nathan Frady; his parents, John and Lana Frady; his brother, Todd (Andrea) Frady; his nephews, Tyler, Zachary, and Landon; and his nieces, Josie and Emily.
