Terry Coker

Terry Coker passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Terry was born to Lester Coker and Wilma Nell Haywood Coker. He lost his mother at the young age of Three. Following her passing, his father married Leatrice Rollins Coker, who lovingly raised Terry as her own and remained a cherished and guiding presence throughout his life.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Lester Coker; his mother, Wilma Nell Haywood Coker; his brothers, Russell Coker and Ronnie Coker; his son, Chris Bond; and his grandson, Brady Howe.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Robin Rayburn; his mother, Leatrice Rollins Coker; his children, Anne (Rob) Derleth, Neil (April) Coker, and Megan (Michael) Rhea; his daughter-in-law, Monique Bond; and his beloved grandchildren, Stetson Merrill Coker, Alison Rhea, Cole Rhea, Landon Bond, and Layken Bond, each of whom brought him tremendous joy and pride.

Terry is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness, humor, and friendship. His faithful dog, Hershey, was a constant companion and held a special place in his heart.

For many years, Terry worked in the coal mining industry, where he built not only a career but a second family among his coworkers. The friendships and bonds he formed throughout his years in the mines remained important to him throughout his life.

Terry enjoyed the simple things that brought him happiness—taking Kawaski Mule rides through the countryside, watching eagles soar overhead, following NASCAR races, and keeping up with current events on Fox News. He never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcome. His stories, laughter, phone calls and unwavering love for his family will be remembered for generations to come.

Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in the memories he leaves behind and the legacy of love, hard work, loyalty, and devotion he shared with those around him.

Terry Coker will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know and love him.
