Roberta June Goad, age 87, of Linton, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, May 20, 2022, at Autumn Trace Assisted Living in Linton. June was born in Sullivan County on April 22, 1935, the daughter of Andrew and Margaret (Templeton) Kelly.

June was a 1953 graduate of Portland High School. She formerly worked at Keller Chair Factory in Linton and was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and spending time with her family.

She was a member of Saron United Church of Christ in Linton and a Lifetime member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #22 of Linton.

June is survived by her son, Thomas M. (Cindy) Goad of Las Vegas; her daughter, Debra K. (Ken) Nolting of Linton; her grandchildren, Shawn (Christiane) Mitchell, Dustin (Cassandra) Nolting, Annelise (Josiah) Schunk, and Jennifer (Trey) Graves; and ten great-grandchildren, Phillip Mitchell, Olivia Mitchell, Morgan Nolting, Max Nolting, Henry Nolting, Everly Nolting, Eleanor Schunk, James Schunk, Eliza Graves, and Maggie Graves.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas A. Goad on Sept. 6, 1996; a step-daughter, Patricia Ann (Gary) Kolle; five sisters, Martha Boles, Margaret Wheeler, Mary Kelly, Lillian Hollifield, and Bessalee Becker; and a brother, Samuel Kelly.

Memorial service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 4, 2022, with Pastor Jeff Fulk officiating. Memorial Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of service. Burial follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Linton Community Food Pantry, or the Linton Public Library, through the funeral home.
