Robert Holaway, 86, of Bloomfield, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019. Born November 16, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of Robert Owen and Elsie May (Smith) Holaway.

Robert served his country in the United States Army during the Korean war. He was a machine operator for Bahrs Tool and Die in Cincinnati, Ohio retiring in 1997.

Surviving relatives include: his wife of 45 years, Janice “Jan” (Auxier) Holaway of Bloomfield; one sister, Helen Ballard of Versailles; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Gilreath and Dorothy Sellers, two brothers, Kenneth and Jimmy Holaway and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Don E. Auxier officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview cemetery in Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Per Robert’s request, services are to be casual, blue jeans are permitted.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
