She was the oldest of five children. Millie married Robert Cox on May 20, 2005. They were happily married for 16 years.

Millie worked at Westinghouse / ABB. She also worked at the Living Room Center several years before she retired. She received her associate´s degree for paralegal studies through Ivy Tech Community College. Millie was a hard worker with a good work ethic. Millie was also a caregiver. She helped take care of her parents, who she loved dearly. She babysat for her grandchildren and was very involved in each grandchild´s life. She cared for family and friends that were sick or needed some extra help. Millie was a loving, patient person who constantly put the needs of others before the needs of herself.

Millie´s friends and neighbors were special people in her and Bob´s everyday life. She enjoyed spending time with her friends. Her friends were extended family to her. Millie valued family. She grew up in a large, loving family. Her sisters, brother and cousins were some of her best friends. Growing up she enjoyed singing gospel music, listening to her Dad play guitar and spending time with her loved ones. Millie was raised in a family that loved the Lord and loved one another unconditionally. She raised her own family to live the same way. Mamaw, Mom and Aunt Millie were how Mildred Cox was known to many of her loved ones. She loved spending time with her grandbabies. Each grandchild loved their Mamaw so very much. Millie raised her girls to understand that the most important job they would ever have would be motherhood. She led by example, taught her daughters what good moms do and her daughters are blessed to have had the most amazing Mom ever.
