Michael L. White

Michael L. White, 65, of Solsberry passed away Friday January 7, 2022 at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington. Born February 29, 1956 in Bloomington, Indiana the son of Lloyd L. and Janice Ruth (Egan) White.

Michael was retired from Indiana University dinning services, he was a member of the Sherwood Oaks West Church in Bloomington where he was very active, and a member of the AFSCME union. Michael loved to barbecue, being call PapaSmoke and barbecuing with his son of Great White Smoke, he was loved by many and a father to the fatherless.

Surviving relatives include his wife Karen White, his daughter, Alesia White, one son, David (Jessica) White, one bonus daughter, Angela Hignite, grandson Graison White, an adopted grandson Huddy Burleson, a granddaughter Zoe, his siblings, Jeff White, Vicky (Alan) Jackson, Pam White, special cousin Deanna (Ronnie) Burke and several loving nieces, nephews, brother-in-law’s and sister-in-law’s.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law and father-in-law and several aunts and uncles.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday January 13, 2022 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor John Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Solsberry Cemetery.
