Mary Lillian Jenkins

Mary Lillian Jenkins, 85, of Bloomfield passed away Sunday September 29, 2019 at Glenburn Home in Linton. Born December 25, 1933 in Greene County, Indiana the daughter of Ale and Hazel (Gilham) Jackson.

Mary was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Bloomfield. She had worked as a housekeeper and caregiver, and as secretary to her husband, James Jenkins when he was Greene County Coroner.

Surviving relatives include her three children, Steve (Melissa) Mowery, Cathy (Mike) Minks, Douglas (Nancy) Mowery, her grandchildren, Ami (Andy) Vachon, Josh Minks, Meagan (Chad) Hostetter, Steven (Sarah) Mowery, Mindy (Jeremy) Hopkins, her great grandchildren Clayton Vachon, Grace Hostetter, Paige Hostetter, Jaxson Hopkins, Eva Mowery, one sister, Imogene (Lester) Flynn and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by three brothers, Bennie, Jackie and Richard Jackson, one nephew Richard Andrew Jackson, her husband James Jenkins and her parents.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home and 12 P.M. Saturday until the hour of service at the Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Jerel Clanney officiating. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery.

The family wishes any memorial donations be made to the Scotland Cemetery in Mary’s name.
