Marilyn Joyce Steele, age 82, of Lyons, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 02, 2018, at Lyons Health & Living Center. Marilyn was born in St. Bernice, Indiana on September 10, 1936, the daughter of Harry & Letha (Ayers) Cole.

Marilyn worked at Sears in downtown Linton for many years and later at Save-A-Lot in Linton. She loved people and loved fellowship with them.

She was a member of Lyons Assembly of God.

Marilyn is survived by husband, Donald Richard Steele of Lyons, two sons, Steven (Tammi) Steele of Lyons and Daniel (Lori) Steele of Linton, daughter, Beth (Doug) Mcmillin of Plainfield, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two brothers, Dean (Kathy) Cole of Indianapolis and Richard (Jeri) Cole of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Bill Glaspie, four sisters, Betty Cole, Helen Davis, Anita Church, and Carolyn Hershey, two brothers, Robert Cole and Gene Cole.

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M., and Thursday at the Lyons Assembly of God Church at 10:00 A.M.

Funeral service will be held at Lyons Assembly of God Church at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 7, 2018.

Burial will be held in Lebanon Cemetery at a later date,.
