Marilyn "Berthie" Hadley, age 76, of Lewis, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital in Henderson, KY. She was born in Sullivan, IN on July 6, 1948, the daughter of Herbert & Louise (Cox) Secrest.

She was a graduate of Dugger Union High School. She retired as a CNA of many years. Taking care of others was her passion. She enjoyed cheating at cards, loved to go camping, bird watching, spending time with her family and soaking up every moment she could with her grandkids.

Berthie is survived by her loving children, Christina (Stacey) Ovivion of Lewis, Ronnie H. (Cindy) Hadley, Jr. of Lewis and Angel (Tim) Baltes of Sullivan; grandchildren, Bradley Ovivion, Justin (Brianna Yates) Hadley, Ashlea Ovivion, Jade (Dalton) McCracken, Troy Hadley, Braydon (Brayleigh) Ovivion, Chloe (Ethan) Norris, Faith (Cody Peterson) Baltes, William (Kirsten Lamance) Baltes, Gabi Hadley and Joseph Bickel; several great grandchildren; brothers, George Secrest, Fred Secrest, Bill Secrest and Joe Secrest; sister, Wilma Harrington; brother-in-law, Donald Hadley as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronnie H. Hadley, Sr.; brothers Commodore Secrest and Hodge Secrest; sister, Martha Hensley; grandson, Chance Hadley and nephew, Shane Hadley.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Friday, May 23, 2025. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
