Marcia “Lynne” (Edwards) Rotman

Marcia “Lynne” (Edwards) Rotman of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 1:01 PM EST Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Autumn Trace Assisted Living in Linton, Indiana. She was born December 4, 1940 in Crawfordsville Indiana to Ernest Edwards and Nina (Stephens) Edwards, who preceded her in death.

Lynne is survived by her husband of 64 years Milton Sam Rotman of Jasonville, Indiana who she married on June 23, 1961; children Michael (Cindy) Rotman of Linton, Indiana, Laurie (Andy) Burkett of Elberfeld, Indiana, Lisa (Steve) Crumrin of Jasonville, Indiana, Ann Plew (foster daughter) of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren Andrew Sanders, Brady Sanders, Cole (Lauren) Sanders, Katherine Burkett, Jacob Burkett, Kyli (Walker) Myears, Jennifer (Jeff) Cotto;  Kelly Crumrin, Corinne Sloan; several great grandchildren; siblings Philip (Claudette) Edwards, Christy (David) Newhouse and several nieces and nephews.

Lynne graduated from Methodist Hospital of Nursing in 1962. She was the Shakamak School District nurse from 1966 to 1994 and then the Greene County Health Nurse from 1994 to 2003.

Lynne was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church in Linton, Indiana. She was very active in the Delta Theta Tau philanthropic sorority and was national president 1988-1989.

Lynne was awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash in 1988 by Governor Robert Orr in recognition of her community service.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home. Visitation is scheduled from 5 pm to 8 pm EST Tuesday, April 28, 2026 and 10 am EST to 11 am EST on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Lebanon Baptist Church, 6862 N St Rd 59 in Linton, Indiana. Services are immediately following at 11 am EST with Pastor Mike Rotman officiating.  Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, Indiana.
