Loveda (Richards) Cargal, 97, of Worthington, Indiana, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Loveda was born in Pike County, Indiana, on March 29, 1921, to the late Joseph S. and Lee Etta (Luttrell) Richards. Loveda loved to cook for her family every Sunday and did so up until one week ago.

Loveda is survived by her children, Larry (Sue) Cargal of Worthington, Kenneth (Wanda) Cargal of Sugarland, Texas, William (Valerie) Cargal of Indianapolis, Jay (Aline) Cargal of Conroe, Texas, Rex Cargal of Worthington, Julie (Mark) Rider of Rushville, Indiana, Mark (Lisa) Cargal of Worthington, Clark Cargal of Petersburg, Allan (Elaine) Cargal of Worthington, Karl (Sheila) Cargal of Fairland, twenty five grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and her beloved dog Abby.

Loveda married Joseph H. Cargal on August 31, 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1997. She was also preceded by her sisters, Mary Peterson, Regina Hacker, Leonarda Myers, Medrith Byrd, brothers, Delbert Richards, Carl Richards, Robert Richards, and one grandson.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home, in Worthington. Pastor Mel Camp will officiate. Burial will follow in Worthington Cemetery.
