Karla Orender

Karla (Abbott) Orender, 64, of Washington, Indiana passed away Friday March 6, 2020 at Eastgate Manor in Washington. Born December 12, 1955 in Daviess County, Indiana the daughter of Caroldon “Carp” Abbott and Norma Lucille (Kettery) Hughes.

Karla had worked as a factory worker and was a homemaker, she attended the New Hope Church in Washington.

Surviving relatives include her two sons, Alan (Jennifer) Orender of Greenwood, Tony (Ashley) Orender of Washington, two grandsons, Logan Orender of Greenwood and Hunter Orender of Washington, Karla has three brothers, Denny (Joann) Abbott of Lafayette, Tim (Melissa) Abbott of Lyons, Randy (Nancy) Beck of South Carolina, she has four sisters, Lori (Greg) Sargent of Sandborn, Darla (Tom) Robison of Lyons, Holly (Scott) Pate of Evansville and Mary Hammons of Columbus.

Karla was preceded in death by her mother Norma Lucille Hughes, her father Caroldon Abbott and one brother Ronald Beck.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons and 10 A.M. Thursday until the hour of service at the Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery.

The family wishes any memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation in Karla’s name.
