Joetta Roach
/Joetta Roach, 83, of Switz City, Indiana passed away Wednesday November 23, 2022 at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis. Born May 25, 1939 in Lyons, Indiana the daughter of William L. “Bill” and Ruth Katherine (Mark) Reed.
Joetta was a factory worker, she worked for Pioneer, GE, Sunbeam, she had worked in the Switz City High School cafeteria, helped on the farm and was a master gardener. Joetta was a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church; she had attended the Mineral United Methodist Church and the Linton United Methodist Church.
Surviving relatives include her four daughters, Lori Mangino, Lisa (James) Alvarado, Lana (James) Ponsonby, Lynda Alumbaugh, her nine grandchildren, Ryan Alvarado, Kristopher Victoria, Andrew Ponsonby, Michael Ponsonby, Joshua Mangino, Caleb Mangino, Kelsi Roach, Toni Hart and Dominic D’Poffo, she has six great grandchildren, Karson Stringer, James Ponsonby, Nick Ponsonby, Koan Mangino, Abie Mitchell and Luke Connely, one brother, Jim (Janice) Reed, one sister, Monadell McDonald and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joetta was preceded in death by her husband Ralph W. Roach on December 6, 2021; one son, Michael W. Roach in 2018, a grandson, Ronnie D’Poffo, one sister Nina Kay and her parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday November 27, at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 4 to 7 P.M. and Monday 10 A.M. until the hour of service.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Ben Biggs officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
The family wishes any memorial donations in Joetta’s name be given to a local food bank.
