Jean Marie Crowe, 98, of Bloomfield, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the Lyons Health and Living Center. Jean was born on July 4, 1919 to Ira and Hulda (Livingston) Burch. She was born and lived most of her life in eastern Greene County.

She married Alvin Crowe on March 21, 1941 and he preceded her in death on July 5, 2014.

Jean is survived by her sisters in-law, Dorothy Helms of Bloomfield and Donna Fowler of Solsberry; brother-in-law, Robert Crowe of Solsberry; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Irene Jones and brothers, George Burch, Horatio Burch, Weir Burch, Wandley Burch and Fred Burch.

Although Jean had worked several jobs, she was most proud to be a housewife and support her husband on their farm in eastern Greene County.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Ridgeport Cemetery.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and 1 hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Ridgeport Cemetery.
