James Edwin "Eddy" Medina

James Edwin “Eddy” Medina left this world behind and met Jesus face to face on Thursday, April 15 after a valiant fight against COVID. His family was at his bedside, with his wife holding him in her arms.

He leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Tracy Jo Denton Medina, and his three children, Jake, Megan, and Lucas, all of Charleston, SC. His twin brother, Tom (Debbie) Medina of Colorado Springs, CO, sister, Marcy (Jason) Jackson, Owensburg, IN and brother, Joe (Jenny) Medina, Bloomfield, IN. His brother at heart JR (Sherri) Davis, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Sherry Medina, his Grandparents Gib and Marceil Ammer, and Juan and Ruth Medina.

He loved God and had a heart for Men’s Hike Ministry and strongly supported Seacoast Global Missions.

He was blessed to be married to the love of his life for 30 years and Tracy Jo adored him. In her eyes Eddy was her best friend, her rock, the one and only love of her life. To his children he was the best father, provider, mentor and friend that a child could ever wish for. He was an all-out Super Hero, who would do anything for them. His love for his family was unconditional and he is absolutely irreplaceable.

Eddy was the Director of Pre-Construction for Choate Construction for the last 12 years with a group of people who truly are his second family.

He worked hard, but he also played hard. He loved spending time with his wife and children, and always looked forward to their family vacations. As he would tell you himself, he was an awesome guitarist who could put on quite a show, and he loved to have a good time. His weekends were filled with Harley rides, pool parties, and good times with family and friends.

Eddy was larger than life! His humor, laughter, and warm personality left a smile on the face of everyone that got to know him, and his positive impact on the lives of others will leave a legacy worthy of any human being. He truly was, The Man, The Myth, The Legend.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Tim Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Scotland Cemetery.
