James C. Blevins, 93, of Newberry passed away Friday June 17, 2022 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Born March 22, 1929 in Bloomfield, Indiana the son of Oliver Roy Blevins and Effie (Hatten) Blevins.

Jim was a truck Driver for Griffin Industries in Newberry, he was a U.S. Army veteran, he loved to coon hunt, trap and drive his truck around and watch his dog work.

Surviving relatives include his three sons, Randy (Roberta) Blevins, Ronnie (Josie) Blevins and Jimmy Blevins, his grandchildren, Brittany, Haley, Bradley, Joshua, one great grandson, Landon; two sisters, Lela Ruth (Blevins) White, Marjorie Ann (Blevins) Ferguson and his dog companion Sissy.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 9 A.M. Wednesday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Jack Tolbert officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery.
