Glenn T. Burns
/Glenn T. Burns, age 85, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 10:30 am on Monday, January 14, 2019, at IU Health & Hospice House in Bloomington. He was born in Oneida, KY on December 20, 1933, the son of the late Rufus Bradley Burns & Rilla Martha (Brown) Burns.
Glenn was a graduate of Salem High School in Salem, Indiana. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He owned and operated his own truck and trailer for 51 years and retired in 2012.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Jonesboro #109 and the Scottish Rite of Ft. Wayne. He and Jean were also members of the Freedom Baptist Church.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jean Ann Haskett-Burns of Worthington; sons, Scott (Christina) Burns of Worthington and John (Mona) Burns of Clovis, NM, grandchildren, Amie Burns, Trish Burns, Kasey (Victor) Burns-Kuzma and Zachary Mauney; great-grandchild, Jocelyn Flack; sister, Irene McCullough of Louisville, KY; special cousin, Danny (Debbie) Dean and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lindsey Belk.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 2, 2019 with visitation from 12:00 Noon at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
