Geneva Lucille Abrell, age 98, of Freedom, passed away peacefully at 6:23 AM on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at McCormick's Creek Nursing Home. She was born in Patricksburg, IN on October 6, 1919, the daughter of the late Dennis Dayhuff & Vertie (Nation) Dayhuff.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing quilts, cooking wonderful meals for the family and spending time with her loved ones.

Geneva is survived by her loving sons, Ted (Sandy) Boyd of Spencer, Mike (Judy) Boyd of Bloomington and Dwight (Naty) Abrell of Freedom; grandchildren, Michael Boyd, Michelle Trevino, Dana Boyd, Jon Boyd, Kirby Stogsdill, Matthew Stogsdill and Gerry Palileo; 15 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Abrell; grandson, Brian Boyd and 9 siblings.

Funeral service will be held at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 15, 2018, with Pastor Steve Von Bokern officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Patricksburg.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
