Douglas Ray Neumeyer
/Douglas Ray Neumeyer, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Worthington, Indiana on July 12, 1953 to Ralph and Agnes (Ray) Neumeyer.
Doug married Barbara Sims on October 27, 1973 at the First Baptist Church in Spencer, IN. He received an associate’s degree in Accounting from Vincennes University. During his career, Doug worked as a controller for various car dealerships throughout central Indiana for over 40 years. Doug retired from Twin City Dodge as a Controller. After retirement he continued working in accounting for the Button Dealership in Kokomo. Doug always had a good sense of humor. He enjoyed music, traveling around Indiana, and was a car show enthusiast. Doug enjoyed the many years he spent volunteering as a treasurer for his church and Worthington Jefferson Alumni Association. Doug loved spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Neumeyer of Indianapolis; two daughters, Shannon (Stephen) Donham of Indianapolis and Stefanie (Joseph) Blahut of Arizona; one sister, Nancy (Bill) Wall of Shelbyville; and three grandchildren, Thomas Hayes, Karlee Blahut and Chloe Blahut.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Neumeyer and mother, Agnes Neumeyer-Vest.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 Pm on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home with Pastor Randy McCollum officiating. Interment will follow at Chambersville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Spencer Baptist Church.
